Marty Flynn

Marty spent the last 35 years as a successful business owner and executive until recently launching his solo consulting practice, True North Strategies. A Napa native, he joined the world of cannabis a couple of years ago after the passage of California’s Prop 64 and has invested in several cannabis-related startups, assisting them with fundraising and business strategy.

Since joining the Board of the Napa Valley Cannabis Association in 2018, Marty has been assisting with local policy development in Napa county and co-represented the NVCA in the State’s Cannabis Appellation Working Group project. Marty is passionate about educating consumers and delivering on the promise of a safe “green market” for legal cannabis in the Napa Valley.  His paid gig is advising lower-middle market companies with exit planning and taking their businesses to market.  He is a proud Dad of two grown kids and lives in Napa with his wife, Bev.
